Of all things, it was a deck of gypsy fortune-telling cards – at the impressionable age of ten – that ignited my passion for investigating the psychic realms. Never a game for me, I began my long spiritual journey seriously, but secretly, honing what became apparent was my strong intuitive perception. People always ask me if I knew as a child that I was special. Yes and No. I was born with a birthmark on my fifth chakra, which covers from just above my heart to my cheek. I didn’t necessarily think I was special, but I stood out. I was taught from an early age that my markings were God’s touch on my face, that this was my personal gift from Him.
The reading of tea leaves was a popular form of fortune telling that used psychic intuition to help people. The name moonspinners comes from a book of the same title. The book recounts a Greek legend where three women spin away the moon every month to provide a dark night of refuge for hunted things.
Shamanism is an ancient healing and teaching technique. For the past 30,000 to 40,000 years, shamanic rituals and teachings have been passed on through generations of appointed or chosen tribal members. A shaman uses a drum or rattles to enter into an altered state of consciousness. This is known as a journey into non-ordinary reality.
Being that this is a virtual tearoom, pour yourself a cup of tea and pull up a seat while you browse my website.
